The China Business Leaders Forum (CBLF) is a joint initiative of the International Business Leaders Forum and the Renmin University of China. It focuses on promoting business practices that will ensure the sustainable social and economic development of China. Currently, CBLF has particular focus on two areas: Improving Business Standards and Building Global Business Leadership in China.
China continues to face significant social challenges associated with rapid economic development including concerns over corporate governance, labour standards, environmental degradation and sustainability. A key focus of CBLF's work in China has been to develop sustainable business practices across all major business sectors, promote good governance and encourage transparency, as well as shape new business leadership to help business leaders in China to better confront challenges in the global market.
CBLF is well positioned to support companies to embed responsible business practice throughout their operations in China. Since 2005, CBLF has worked with its partner--Renmin University of China, to mobilize the business community to work collectively to improve business standards. CBLF looks at addressing the social, economic and environmental challenges faced by companies operating in the region. |
