Position: Programme Assistant

About the Programme

China Business Leaders Forum (CBLF) is a joint initiative between International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) and Renmin University of China. CBLF provides a "safe haven" for the leaders of Chinese and foreign companies to meet regularly, sharing experience and good practice, developing sustainable frameworks on corporate governance to promote in the business community.

Currently, China Business Leaders Forum initiates a three-year “Business Integrity and Transparency Initiative” (hereinafter referred to ITBI) which focuses on corporate compliance and business ethics. Through round tables, collective actions, Global Leadership, written materials, publications and researches, it helps the business community to better manage corruption risks and challenges, and bring the attention of businesses, government and civil society the feasibility and benefits of responsible corporate pratices.

We are now hiring interns to work as assist to programme manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the programme manager to translate all ITBI-related materials;
  • Visit the partners which work closedly with CBLF on ITBI intiative, together with the programme manager, taking notes on the meeting and visits; drafting the follow-up report, and inputting contact information of relevant organisations and contacts into the IBLF system;
  • Conduct preliminary survey preparation for programme-related activities (publication, reports, and business meetings) upon the request of the programme manager;
  • Update and maintain web contents periodically;
  • Provide necessary administrative support for all roundtables and Global Leadership such as venue booking, equipment rental, vendor liaison, venue setup etc., as well as reception and coordination during the meetings to ensure all materials, equipment and collaterals to be in place in time;
  • Provde day-to-day office administrative support, including receiving and sending faxes, documents filing and so on.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English, especially in writing and translation; passing CET-6 is preferrable for native Chinese;
  • Previous work experience in conference execution and office administration is preferrable;
  • Good communication skills ;
  • Good work attitude, patience and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Be outgoing and a team player;
  • A quick learner and efficient performer;
  • Be good at MS Office

Working Hours and Place

  • Hours: 8 hours a day, at least two days a week and a minimum 2-month internship should be guaranteed;
  • Work place: China Business Leaders Forum at Renmin University of China

  • RMB100 / Day ( 8 hours/day ), plus business-related local transportation expenses (taxi fares);
  • A letter of recommendation for further education or employment by other employers can be provided based on the performance during the internship;
  • Exposure to business ethics and corporate governance knowldege both in Chinese and English; participation in high-level forums and roundtables, auditing discussion of multinational and Chinese corporate executives; growing your abilities in researching, administration, business reception, event execution etc.
